The BG400 CLW-C offers a full, robust tone with the same quality of build as our 500 Series. The cedar top provides a dynamic and responsive sound with rich treble overtones — great for soft-touch, melodic playing and incorporating harmonics into a performance. The back and sides are made of walnut, which brings out an earthy, woody tone and boasts a deep, rich wood grain texture.

All Bridgeport Guitars are built with distinct and artfully-designed features that are tailored to the fingerstyle player: walnut bindings with fully pronounced arm bevels, ebony fingerboards, wider neck and string spacing, and flatter heels for optimal reach in the high register.

On each Bridgeport Guitar, you will also find tasteful embellishments done in a soft and subtle maple: our Bridgeport logo at the top of the headstock, our minimal bridge motif on the 12th fret, and a hand-inlaid spalted rosette — each one being a unique work of art.
