Description

The Red Series is synonymous with the highest class of our solid wood guitars, which are truly uncompromising in terms of the materials and components. The Red Pure SR is made of premium Sitka spruce used on the soundboard and Indian rosewood on the back and sides. Both the top and the back plate undergo a special tuning process, which in conjunction with the material used gives the instrument a beautiful, versatile sound with clear and open tones. The beauty of the tonewood is underlined by a high-gloss finish and a number of decorative details, led by a redheart purfling and koa rosette, binding, tail decoration and position markers. The guitar comes enclosed in a highly durable Hiscox case.

If you are ever looking for advice, guitar knowledge or finally buying that guitar you wanted whether it's an entry level up to your dream guitar, Brickhouse Guitars is the place to go! Roger is borderline one of a kind, between his vast knowledge/experience with guitars over all his years as a store owner & musician, his accommodating hardware & accessories, it's definitely something worth checking out. Although it is a smaller guitar shop, it's packed with an outstanding selection that cannot be ignored.On top of all that mentioned above, he has also taken into account the necessary precautions in regards to the current COVID-19 restraints. When I arrived I knocked on the door, he let me in (only 1 customer aloud per time to allow for safe distancing), we then spoke of what brought me to his shop that day and he did more then accommodate me. Roger had answered all my questions and more, allowed me to browse around to see his collection (without being hands on with any instruments at this time to keep COVID things in mind), then finally took my information down to be on my way.I will definitely be going back to him for any upgrades, fixes or new purchases without hesitation and I strongly advise any guitarists to do the same or at least take the time to check out his shop!

I recently went to Brickhouse to purchase a new acoustic guitar. Roger took the time to listen to what I wanted, asked a few questions and then walked me through a series of guitars, demonstrating the unique characteristics of various models and manufacturers. His patience and genuine desire to help find the "right" guitar for me made this a really enjoyable experience. I ended up buying a Furch with an amazing tone, and I haven't put it down since. I can't recommend them enough!

Did not oversell and actually gave me ~3 hours of his time. I bought the Furch guitar of my dreams and now enjoying daily. Zero pressure and great fun!

Brickhouse Guitars is well equipped with beautifully built guitars ranging in many shapes and sizes to find the perfect fit for you. High quality sound and exceptionally crafted guitars! What a fantastic guitar shop! We went into Brickhouse with a fairly good idea of what we were looking for, but Roger's intimate knowledge of all-things-guitar really helped steer us in the right direction. As a relative new guitarist (who doesn't know all the lingo), Roger did a great job of explaining the intricacies so that a 'beginner' like myself could easily understand. The selection of guitars was fantastic, right from nice beginner guitars through to some beautiful high end instruments. We loved the selection of Canadian-made guitars as well. Overall, the combination of the exemplary service, fantastic selection, and beautiful store aesthetic made it an unmatched guitar shopping experience worth traveling for from anywhere in the province.

This is a little gem of a guitar store. If you are looking for that high end guitar and want to try it out, than this is the place for you. I originally went in to try the furch little Jane, but I ended up with a carbon fiber guitar. Roger, the owner was very nice and helpful. He gave me enough attention but also let me play the beautiful guitars in his store on my own. Perfect balance. I would highly encourage you to check them out.

Spent total of 3+ hours round way trip from Toronto to Kitchener to test play furch guitar, and in the end it’s totally worth it. At the beginning I didn’t plan to purchase right away, but bought the Furch red GC CR just after 30mins of playing without hesitation. It’s built with master grade cedar (top) and rosewood (back and side), and it sound amazing, all round rich sound with superb clarity and bass, this one has very similar sound property as my Lowden F25, its a GEM to add into my collection.Just from the sound perspective, it just can beat its counterpart such as Martin and Taylor easily, which are all just over priced (my point of view).Last but not least,Roger (the owner) is extremely friendly and patient, he helped me adjust the action multiple times and made sure I was 100% comfortable with my playing. Thanks roger for making the day for me!

What a great Guitar Store! There were more "excellent sounding" guitars in this store than any Guitar store in Southern Ontario I have visited in the last year. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. After listening to me play and questioning my preferences in acoustic guitar, Luke would select specific models for my "sampling". Went into Brickhouse and met with Roger. With no pressure he explained a lot of options to me and demonstrated some guitars which he also encouraged me to play. I left with only knowledge to do some research, after much consideration I came back and bought a Stonebridge Furch with which I am very very happy. Great store, great staff, great guitars.

What an experience! Luke and Roger are very knowledgeable and helpful. I had a custom build created with ease, and had advice from the pair on all aspects of the build. You might be as lucky as me and have the guitar in your hands within 4 months! Furch makes incredible guitars, and the thing that stands out is their consistency on quality. Brickhouse carries a range of models, and they all sound great! If you have only been exposed to the regular Taylor, Martin and Gibsons, you NEED to come down here and play a Furch. Luke and Roger, thanks for a fantastic experience!!

I recently had a Martin guitar repaired at Brickhouse. The neck was coming up and there was a slight crack in face of the guitar. Roger consulted with me and offered some suggestions and did the repairs promptly and economically. A few months later I bought a new Fursch guitar from him. I am a fingerstyle guitar player and he set-up the action so that the guitar plays easier and with no buzzing and real clear tone. The guitar is has an amazing clear brightness on the top strings with full bodied deep tones on the bottom strings. I am one big satisfied customer.

I took the not-so-long drive from Toronto to check this place out. Definitely worth the trip. Roger was very patient and helped orient us to his wide range of fine instruments (he also took time to show us some of his remarkable drawings). A hidden gem of a guitar store! They have a great selection of Godin guitars (I have two and I love them), as well as a number of more exotic brands from Canada and beyond to match either side of the budget spectrum. They really know their stuff, too, and give you lots of attention or leave you to try the guitars out - up to you! Will definitely be heading back there when I'm ready to expand my collection ;-)

If you are looking for a mid to upper range acoustic guitar in the KW area, you should visit Brickhouse first. All of the guitars I picked up to try were set up perfectly and very well cared for. Roger took the time to explain the design differences between all the comparable models I was looking at and was extremely helpful in providing recommendations. I know I will be going back the next time I'm in the market for another guitar!

just picked up the telecaster I asked roger at brickhouse guitars to take a look at. I’m an intermediate player. Basically good enough to know my set-up was wrong, but not experienced enough to fix it. He did such a good job. He got the action right and even set up the tremolo. It’s a tele deluxe ‘74 so it has tremolo on a guitar not necessarily suited for it. So not a normal job. It was also about half what I thought I’d pay. Great place. Roger is cool, low key and friendly. Nice collection of acoustic and some electrics in there too. Highly recommend.

Got a Roland piano from Brickhouse. They were very knowledgeable, have me a good price, and delivered and set up the piano at no extra charge. I was looking at similar pianos at Long and McQuade. The experience I had at Brickhouse was way better.

I brought my husband's 30+ year old guitar in to Brickhouse Guitars to have it fixed up for his birthday. All I knew was that the neck was bowed and it needed "stuff". Roger was able to assess it, tell me in plain language what would be done, where challenges were and what to expect. When I picked it up shortly after I was amazed by the difference - I don't think that guitar had ever performed that well! When my husband played it for the first time he was overjoyed by the transformation and how much better it sounded - but also how much easier it was to play. My whole experience with Brickhouse Guitars was excellent. Online and after hours responses with live chat, lovely demeanour and personalities, super friendly and welcoming. The shop was beautiful and you can tell there is care and mindefullness behind the set up and displays. Very highly recommend this place!

I went to Brickhouse Guitars and Pianos looking to purchase a new digital piano. As far as I know, Brickhouse is the only local distributor for Roland pianos that actually has mid to high end units on hand for display and for you to try. Roger is a great guy - no pressure but is knowledgeable about the instruments he carries. Definitely the best experience I have had in a music store in recent memory. Roger did an amazing job explaining some of the technical features of the Roland Pianos that set them apart from the competition, and left me feeling very confident in my purchasing decision. Setting up delivery and assembly was also a very simple process and a reminder of how it can be nice to deal with local businesses rather than big box stores.I'm not into guitars, but, I can imagine if I was a guitarist I would probably be drooling - he has a nice selection of beautiful instruments in store!

Excellent product line. Great price. You can play as much as you like to get a feel before you make your choice. Variety of options and Roger (Owner) walks you through all those options and it helps you to understand the capabilities of each guitar and pick the one that can stay in your life or a long time. I drove from London to KW today to purchase my first guitar. After spending time with Luke, listening to him play a myriad of options to hear the different sounds, I made my decision - it was love at first guitar sight.
