We, at Brickhouse Guitars, were fortunate enough to extend an invitation to Japanese Guitar sensation Kent Nishimura to our home of Kitchener-Waterloo. The concert, hosted at Bridgeport Fine Art, marked Kent’s debut performance in North America.
Kent Nishimura, a virtuoso in the truest sense, effortlessly wove together a tapestry of sounds. His ability to integrate the essence of multiple instruments into one guitar is a level of skill all wish to attain but few do.
The backdrop of art adorning the walls and the acoustics of the intimate gallery provided the perfect environment for Kent’s music to flourish. The closeness of the setting allowed for a truly magical experience. The complex rhythms and melodies blended and meshed seamlessly like two old friends sharing a hug. Kent’s left hand navigated the fretboard with graceful precision, while his right hand produced percussive beats and plucked the strings with surgical accuracy. It was undeniably sensational.
To merely label the concert as amazing would be an understatement; it was an unparalleled, once-in-a-lifetime experience. We, at Brickhouse Guitars, consider ourselves immensely privileged to have had the opportunity to host such an extraordinary event.
